"Fast forward to this afternoon, when I had Michael Fremer came over to give me a system diagnostic check-up, particularly the turntable. He first asked who set it up, so I of course said Upscale Audio, and he said he knew Kevin (or of Kevin) and was always curious as to the job Upscale did setting up turntables. I told him it was you who actually set up my turntable, and that it sounded perfect for a couple of years now and only recently started pulling hard to the left channel. Well, he checked the cartridge set-up, he checked the stylus under a magnifying glass, he checked entire tone arm set up (tools, measurements, etc.) and all heights / angles, etc., and then declared the turntable was set up 100% perfect, mentioning it was a rarity that he could find nothing wrong at all. (He made a minor adjustment to the cue lever on the mono arm just as a favor b/c it had become loose…but no problems at all).
